BCDP Heritage Dinner: A resounding success
More than 100 Democrats networked and met with candidates at this year's Bradley County Democratic Party Heritage Dinner. Attendees were able to hear from Steve Lawson, candidate for Sheriff; Paula Flowers and Brent Benedict, candidates for the 3rd Congressional District; Jeff Morelock, candidate for 3rd County District; and gubernatorial candidates State Senator Roy Herron and Nashville businessman Ward Cammack. To have such a great turnout in our county in a non-election year says a lot about the Democratic support in our area. Republicans hold every seat in the county commission and a majority in the state legislature. We cannot afford to allow this Republican domination of our local government continue.
That is why Democratic support in our county is beginning to swell. We need your continued support. Your participation in Democratic events attracts the attention of quality Democratic candidates and lets them know that Bradley county is not a lost cause. A Democrat can and will win in Bradley County. We can win next year's elections but we cannot do it alone. We need you more than ever to bring about the change we need.
Keep an eye out for our Party at upcoming local events. We will have a booth at the Foothills Country Fair in September and the Apple Festival in October. Feel free to stop by to meet and support your fellow Democrats. Check back often for more details. For more information about upcoming events, check our calendar or e-mail us at bradleycountydemocrats@gmail.com.
